Inday says!

I believe that my trained skills and expertise in management with the use of standard tools and my discipline and experience will contribute significantly to the value of work that you want. My creativity, productivity, and work efficiency and the high quality of outcome I can offer will boost the work progress.
-Sagot ni Inday sa bago niyang amo

"I stay awake in the coldness of the darkened sky contemplating why, for some reasons, has my emptiness manifested, extending to that niche where I was given life and growth, that because of austerity I was made separate from..."
-Inday, hindi makatulog dahil nahohomesick

"I am solitary. I find it hard to succumb into slumber, though the downpour of rain should've made it easy. This exuberant emotional glue I have for you, cannot be simply washed away. The multiplicity of what I feel for you is inevitable. This isn't platonic. It's real, true romance."

"The statute restricts me to love you but you have the provocation. The way you smile is the proximate cause why I love you. We have some rules to think of. We have no vested rights to love each other because the upper household dismissed my petition!"
-Inday, nakipagbreak kay Dodong (driver ng kapitbahay)

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Attached herewith is a list of proposed acquisition in line with my proposal to upgrade your household facilities. I have already made an initial survey of current market prices. Note, however, that prices could vary depending on the prevailing exchange rate and aggregate supply and demand, which we also monitor on an hourly basis."
-Inday, nagpapaalam mamalengke

Would you please purchase many fishes for this week's meals?
Inday: Judging from your statement I believe you meant a variety of fish. The term "fishes", although rarely and even erroneously used, connotes a plethora or an array of different kinds of the aforementioned gilled creatures. But the more pressing questions before I traverse the road to the wet market would be: What certain type of fish? Fillet or not? Frozen or just right smack the day's catch? (Pauses) Aaah... by manner of careful extrapolation, given the meager budget in this household's quasi-peasant middle class taste, I assume then I will source the staple "galewng-gowng" . Am I correct?
Amo: Leche!
Inday: You meant the freshwater milkfish? Then the "ba-ngooz" is it!

Drunken shrimp and blue lobster meat with caviar served with milagrosa rice (red variety) and apricot sauce; vegetables in balsamic vinegar splashed with extra virgin olive oil; lychee and peach salad with sour cream cheese topped with lemon zests

Bloody hell!!! What the f*ck did just land on my cutie top? I mean I've spent all day just to make myself look fabulous. I think I'll have this eewy thing removed in a whip wham of time!"

Ipomea aquatica has become the constant ingredient to this Filipino delicacy which is very helpful in the digestion during the peristaltic process of the food we intake. Due to the continuous rains and floods, the harvest of the said vegetable has lessened the production in the market.

Heavy fire that was exerted by the stimulus affect the best conductor of heat which is the steel, causing the "Oriza sativa" which is the scientific name of rice to change its state of color, smell, as well as the taste.

Off you go! Under no circumstance this house would relent to such unabashed display of vagrant destitution!

Allergens triggered the immune response. Eosinophilic migration occurs at the reaction site and release of chemotactic and anaphylotoxin including histamine and prostaglandins. These substances result to increase circulation to the site promoting redness.

Amo: Day! Bakit may bukol si Junior?
Inday: Compromising safety with useless aesthetics, the not-so-well engineered architectural design of our kitchen lavatory affected the boy's cranium with a slight boil at the left temple near the auditory organ.
Amo: (Di nakareact)

Dear Mom,

Had it not been for the smelling salt, I must have collapsed moments ago. Junior has become a little monster to me. Remember the head accident he had? As if it wasn't enough, he was summoned by the principal of his shabbily-run academe. Oh, such an erudite bunch
of baboons! I never thought that being a governess can be such a strenuous employ.
Your daughter,

Inday

Dear Inday,

Walanghiya ka! Magpadala ka ng pera! Nasa ospital
mo!

Tatay

Amo: Bakit tuwing pag-uwi ko, nadadatnan kitang
nanunuod ng TV?
Inday: Because I don't want you to see me doing absolutely nothing!

Amo: Inday di ba nanood ka ng The Buzz kahapon? Bkit daw umalis si Angel Locsin sa GMA7?
Inday: Sometimes people choose to leave not because of selfish reasons, but because they just know that things will get worse if they'll stay. Leaving can be a tough act and it's harder when people can't understand you for doing so.

Physical stress and excessive work may result to serious damage to one's body. It is therefore essential that once in a while we take a break from our usual routine to replenish the lost energy we once had."
-Sabi ni Inday sa amo noong humingi siya ng day off

The consistency was fine. But you see, it seems that the increased amount of sodium affected the taste drastically and unfortunately, after several minutes of analytical thought, it seems that the situation has become irreversible. I do apologize. Utmost care will be taken next time.

Love - a wildly misunderstood although highly desirable malfunction of the heart that weakens the brain, causes the eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow, blood pressure to rise and the lips to pucker!

A change in the weather patterns might have occured causing havoc to affected surroundings. The way debris are scattered indicates that the gust of wind is going northeast, causing damage to the path it is going.

Much as I want to indulge in the proliferation of such indecent and malicious information, I want to lift the stigma and alleviate society's perception of our profession.

Inday: NO! ONLY BELO TOUCHES MY SKIN! Who touches yours?

Ederlyn: Walang hiya ka! Wala kang karapatang pantayan ako! Hayop ka! You're nothing but a second rate, trying hard, copycat!

Inday: Excusemoi? Me, a copycat?! Your mockery is so lame and your attempt at English is so predictable! Why don't you open your eyes to the fact that your glory days are over?! Your persistence to persuade people to come to a party that does not exists is simply ridiculous and cheaply constructed! It's beginning to get to my nerves! You and your petty schemes! No one undermined Inday's intellect, you low life bitch!

Answers to the "Judgment" question on my August 8 blog

Here’s the answer to the judgement quiz.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And the answer to the abortion question:
If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

There's Something About Inday

You must have already received at least an sms or two about the socialite househelp named Inday. Seems she's a big hit on sms jokes these days. Well here are some of the compilations. Read on...

Inday: I believe that my trained skills and expertise in management with the use of standard tools, and my discipline and experience will contribute significantly to the value of the work that you want. My creativity, productivity and work-efficiency and the high quality of outcomes I can offer will boost the work progress.

Amo: [nosebleed]

Amo: Bakit me bukol si junior?

Inday: Compromising safety with useless aesthetics, the not-so-well engineered architectural design of our kitchen lavatory affected the boy's cranium with a slight boil at the left temple near the auditory organ.

Amo: [nosebleed ulit]

Kinagabihan, habang naghahapunan.

Amo: Bakit maalat ang ulam?

Inday: The consistency was fine. But you see, it seems that the increased amount of sodium chloride (NaCl) affected the taste drastically and those actions are irreversible. I do apologize.

Inday: Because I don't want you to see me doing absolutely nothing.

Donya: [hinimatay]

Inday: It's absurd! It was never a fact that he will inflict a fight. I can only imagine how you handle schizophrenic kids on this educational institution. Revise your policies because they suck!

Principal: [nag resign]

Inday: A change in the weather patterns might have occurred wrecking havoc to the surroundings. The way the debris are scattered indicates that the gust of wind was going northeast causing damage to the path it was heading for.

Amo: [nosebleed ulit]

Inday: Stop your raucous behavior. It is bound to result in property damages and if that happens there will be corresponding punishment to be inflicted upon you!

Junior: Bakit kaya sya umalis?

Inday: Sometimes, people choose to leave not because of selfish reasons but because they just know that things will get worse if they'll stay. Leaving can be a tough act, and it's harder when people can't understand you for doing so.

Junior: [tuloy ang pagdugo ng ilong]

Nung gabing yon, me nag text ke Inday.

Inday: To forestall further hopes of acquaintance, my unfathomable statement to the denial of your request - Petition denied.

Inday: The statute restricts me to love you but you have the provocations. The way you smile is the proximate cause why I love you. We have some rules to think of. We have no vested rights to love each other because the upper household dismissed my petition!"

Dodong: Perhaps you are mistaken, what you seem to contrive as any affections for you are somewhat half-hearted. I was merely attempting to expand my network of interests by involving you in my daily recreation. Heretofor, you can expect an end to any verbal articulation from myself"

Basurero (sabi ke Inday): Be careful in letting go of the things you thought are just nothing because maybe someday you'll realize that the one you gave away is the very thing you've been wishing for to stay.

Amo: [nagpakamatay]

Let's test your judgement!

Since it's still my rest day today, I decided to update my multiply account (uploaded pictures), and here I am writing an entry on my blogger. I would like to share this quiz I found online.

Here it is:

Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates.

Candidate A -Associates with crooked politicians and consults with astrologers. He's had two mistresses. He also chainsmokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B -He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, usedopium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C -He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

Be careful. I'll post the answers later.

The Butterfly

My friends/officemates decided to hangout at Doreen's place after shift this morning. We also -- well "they", cooked brunch for us, yakisoba and such. They played some dvd's but seems we're not in the mood for it, so we then decided to just chill out w/ my ipod and have some beer. We talked 'bout work, life, and everything our tired and sleepy heads could think of. Went home by 3pm, and went immediately to bed. Just got up a couple of hours ago to have some light meal, and here I am writing my entry for today. i just felt guilty since I haven't been able to update my blog for ages. I still have a lot of entries to upload, which are currently stored/written on my starbucks planner.

Before I end this post, I want to share an inspiring story about a butterfly. I've been feeling kind of stressed with my routinary work lately, and tired about some unsignificant person's attitude issues I'd rather not tackle here. Then, I came across this story which gave me an inspiration to hang on. I thought I'd post this since it might also inspire you. Here it goes.

The Butterfly

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!

Transformers: Totally awesome!

My friends and officemates have been talking about how good the movie Transformers is. Even before i started to hear about it, I have been already interested with the movie when I first saw the teaser way back. It was my off today so I have decided to go and watch Transformers with Mike at Powerplant mall.

When we got inside, I was surprised to see the place was unusually crowded. The stores are on "sale", that's why. Then when we got to the ticket area, the line was really long. I was planning to get a ticket for the 3pm screening. We arrived by 2:15pm, but then almost all the good seats were taken and all were left are those in front. So I'd rather chose to take the 4pm screening.

Since we had a lot of time to spend, and we were already starving, we decided to have our early dinner at Sugarhouse. I had the spicy puttanesca, the creamy and cheesy onion soup, and a slice of black magic; while Mike had his favorite chicken sliders, and spinach raviolli. The food was great, and were all full. I also dropped by the PCX to buy some toiletries; then we bought some dvd's at "O". We just grabbed samba chocolates and Doritos to the movie.

The movie was full of non-stop action scenes, which was really fantastic. The sound was superb as if you were really part of the scene. A great plot with a mix of comedy, romance, and ofcourse action. I'll be looking forward for the next sequel.

I'm happy 'coz I have a new addition to my dvd collection: "Click", "Yours, Mine, Ours", "Phantom of the Opera", and "The Notebook",

Saturday fun!

I met up with my Harte Hanks friends at G4 for lunch. Then Mona and Ian fetched us with their van to their place. Guess what, we had our lunch again! Can't resist barbeque and soup. Afterwhich, we had a videoke session, courtesy of Mona's magic sing. Totally fun!
I'm grateful having them as my friends. I even feared of losing them, specially when i left Harte Hanks. But then you made me realize how special our friendship is. And I'm thankful that even though we have different sched's, we still manage to find time, to get together and enjoy each other's company. Trully, you guys are irreplaceable.

Me, only better.

Right now, seems like things starts going back to normal. Then I my QA feedback I've been expecting finally came out, and I'm thankful I got a positive result from QA Ian.

Had lunch at Chowking with Doreen and Taz, though I felt guilty I wasn't able to lend money for a friend, 'coz I already have a budget 'til next payday.

Talkin', hatin'...

There's a petty issue goin' on with two of my friends, hope they could fix it soon. 'coz it's hard since I'm like in between.

After shift Doreen invited Taz and I to Factory Depot at Mantrade to check out Levi's stocks. I didn't find something I like, though.

My name in Chinese

Suppossed plan to meet up Doreen before shift was cancelled, since she was still with her cousin.

After shift though, Doreen and I went to Ortigas to claim our ATM card from Equitable bank. Then we had our lunch at a chinese place called MXT. I'm not really into chinese food, but I didn't expect the food to taste so good.

Speaking of Chinese, I found this site that provides translation of english names into Chinese characters. Here's my name in Chinese:

I dunno if it's really accurate though, and I have no idea how you read it, but it says the names are mainly translated by the pronunciation. Try your name!

Emo mode... still.

I'm not really in the mood today. I'm just trying my best to pretend I'm okay when I'm taking calls. But it's not easy! I'm on mixed emotions. But I have to endure this. Hope things will be fine soon.

Had my lunch at McDo with Larry and MJ, then breakfast at Jollibee after shift.

Hearts Day!

Let me first have my HAPPY BIRTHDAY greetings to RICHARD and AUNTIE EBENG!!!
And to all: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Is today really a big deal? Well most probably for those who do not have a partner, this is just one of those ordinary days. However, some would celebrate this day with friends or family, though very rare. But not in my case, 'coz my baby prepared something for me. However, due to some misunderstanding his plan didn't end all well, which i really felt sorry about. We'll just make it up at another time maybe.
At work, my Team Manager Ms. Dee made some effort. She e-mailed us a Valentines greeting and gave us chocolates as her valentine gift.

LESSONS FROM GEESE

We met my new team manager Deanne Magno yesterday shift (Feb. 12 '07) --- we shared our work expectations as an employee, towards our co-employees, and team manager. She also gave us a copy of "LESSONS FROM GEESE", and i would want to share it as well.

"LESSONS FROM GEESE"

Its really inspiring...

Fact: As each goose flaps its wings it creates an "uplift" for the birds that follow. By flying in a V-formation, the whole flock adds 72% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.
Lesson: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of another.
Fact: When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.
Lesson: If we have as much sense as a goose we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give out help to others.
Fact: When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.
Lesson: It pays to take turns going the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each other's skills, capabilities, and unique arrangements of gifts, talents, and resources.
Fact: The geese flying formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
Lesson: We need to make sure our honking is encouraging. In groups where there is encouragement, the production is greater. The power of encouragement (to stand by one's heart or core values and encourage the heart and core of others) is the quality of honking we seek.
Fact: When a goose gets sick, wounded, or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.
Lesson: If we had as much sense as geese, we will stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.
~~ "Lessons from Geese" was transcribed from a speech given by Angeles Arrien at the 1991 Organizational Development Network and was based on the work of Milton Olson.

A birthday, and a new birth!

Before anything else, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ATE JOY, AMIEL, and ANDIE!!!

It's my second day off from work today. Something great and unexpected happened today. I didn't expect that my sister will delivery my new nephew today, the exact day of her birthday, yes you read it right. We were all in a panic mode. And my sis' had to do it without the midwife, so together with Mike and my brother in law, we caught the babby with our bare hands with the cord intact. I was in shock. You might not know ywt that I am not fascinated with blood. If you could only see me during that very moment-I'm on mixed emotions. Excited, terrified and nervous all at the same time. Thank God my sister and nephew made it sound and safe, afterall. And now I'd like you to meet my new born nephew: RHANDY JOAQUIN "Wacky" TAGLE MENDOZA.

XBOX 360 barkada get together!

Had a simple get together with my XBOX 360 Barkada today. Went to Nice's place by 2pm and stayed thereup 'til 10pm. Though, Nice couldn't be with us, she just let us stay anyway, which was very kind of her. Among those present were: Mona and her hubby Ian, Julz, Jho, Jaime, Rick, and Doreen (she's my new friend from Sykes, and I brought her along for introduction). Funny 'coz we didn't have enough money to order pizza so we end up with pancit canton and meat loaf for our snack and dinner (the unbeatable tandem) --- but mind you guyz we had a great time. It's true that its not about the worth of things or food that lights up a party, but your friends.

Happy Birthday Yna!

Before i go on with today's entry, I'll greet my very good friend Yna a very happy birthday!!! Yna's my former teammate at MCI Sykes - TNT account, and I missed her a lot.
Earlier, I went to Glorietta to settle my outstanding balance for my handyphone and settle our landline bill as well. I even saw my former officemate MYLES (from Hate Hanks - XBOX account).
Our training for Altel aaount has commenced, and we will be on our separate ways soon. I thought of sending a message to my batchmates, which says something like this: "Our training started last 01-22-07 at BCT, 2 weeks of training had past and I can say this is one of the best and most unforgettable training experience i've ever had; especially with our trainer Melai. You may have judged me negatively the first time, but I hope things will be different now as you have come to know me even better. I hope I was able to change those negative impressionsinto a positive one. This training have brought me new set of friends: full of energy and talent -- Wave 4 of Sykes Alltel. On 02-05-07 we will be distributed to different mentors and teams, but I hope our friendship, camaraderie and closeness will still continue. Have a blessed weekend." I'm glad I did that. 'Coz I felt the warmth after receiving replies one by one, saying that they also feel the same thing. I'll surely miss you guys! See you around!

Meeting our Account Manager

Yesterday (February 02, 2007) our account manager "Ms. Dee" gave some insights about Sykes asia, we even introduced ourselves like during first day of school and gave some short background about our work experiences. I also had the priveledge of hosting the so-called "mini program" held at the 8th floor pantry of Burgundy Corporate Tower. My batchmates namely Katie, Taz and MJ showcased their talent.

Two shift schedule in a day !?!

Technically our shift schedule is 10 in the morning to 7 in the evening. Yes you heard it right - and what we did for the whole duration was to take our final exam and mock calls, since our first week of training is over! But it doesn't end there. Because at 12 midnight today (same day), we needed to go back to work since we will be introduced with the so called mentor -- so technically we only have 4 hours to rest from our last shift, and, had to attend the night shift again! Whoa!!! Well it's a good thing my mentor's gonna be Rocia. Sure she'll be lenient enough with our situation knowing we didn't have enough sleep, since we had some kind of a "double shift", if I may call it so. So I would have to go offline now, and sleep. ciao!

So-so day.

Yesterday's plan to stay at Nice's place to accomplish our clearance, with the rest of our Harte Hanks friends have been moved. So I just decided to accompany Doreen to Glorietta. we met up with her cousin Joan. Then we had our dinner at Shakey's. It's my off today so I am just goin' to stay home all day. I'll take this opportunity to unwind and relax. Oh, it's CHEETAH GIRLS' premiere telecast at Disney channel today! I'm going to watch it -- now I have something to do. Hehe.

First day of training at Sykes Asia

First day of training at Sykes Asia... at last i'm back! Nice and I was sad though since we were expecting that four of us will be scheduled on the same class. Felt sad since we're expecting Rick and Mona would be with us. Just to give you a brief background -- Rick, Mona, Nice and I filed our resignation from Sykes MCI and moved to Harte Hanks-- then after 4 agonizing months we all decided to go back to Sykes... so we filed our resignation letter; take note: "immediately"! So going back, Nice and I were surprised, when we saw Mona entering the room. Found out she was assigned to the same account, and will be attending the same training class as well. We also found out that some our Ambergris friends already knew about this, however they just want to surprise us. Great job guyz! Certified artista na kayo ngayon! So there, chit chat and all.

However, I just arrived from an exciting and exhausting outing and I don't have enough energy and drive to do something extra today but rest.. tsk..tsk.. my bad! Should learn to set my priorities since I'm one of the Godparents. I was expected to be in Shangrila - west by 1 PM. Thank God for mom - she went to the rescue. Asked mom to send my gift and apology and to my inaanak (or should I say the mom of my inaanak) .. sorry :(
