Let's test your judgement!

Since it's still my rest day today, I decided to update my multiply account (uploaded pictures), and here I am writing an entry on my blogger. I would like to share this quiz I found online.

Here it is:

Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates.

Candidate A -Associates with crooked politicians and consults with astrologers. He's had two mistresses. He also chainsmokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B -He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, usedopium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C -He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

Be careful. I'll post the answers later.

The Butterfly

My friends/officemates decided to hangout at Doreen's place after shift this morning. We also -- well "they", cooked brunch for us, yakisoba and such. They played some dvd's but seems we're not in the mood for it, so we then decided to just chill out w/ my ipod and have some beer. We talked 'bout work, life, and everything our tired and sleepy heads could think of. Went home by 3pm, and went immediately to bed. Just got up a couple of hours ago to have some light meal, and here I am writing my entry for today. i just felt guilty since I haven't been able to update my blog for ages. I still have a lot of entries to upload, which are currently stored/written on my starbucks planner.

Before I end this post, I want to share an inspiring story about a butterfly. I've been feeling kind of stressed with my routinary work lately, and tired about some unsignificant person's attitude issues I'd rather not tackle here. Then, I came across this story which gave me an inspiration to hang on. I thought I'd post this since it might also inspire you. Here it goes.

The Butterfly

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
