Christmas gifts!

Yesterday morning, the first thing that came to my mind were the gifts I would have to buy for my team mates. I saw this cute calendar in a ceramic stand in Papemel' about 2 weeks ago. Though, back then I thought it's too early to buy 'em, and since that I don't have the budget for that yet. But then I've already decided that would be the best gift for my officemates. 'Coz I'd like to give something that would be useful. Since last week, we've started recieving gifts from some of my team mates. One gave us a handrest for your wrist, it's like a soft gel-filled pad which is really a comfy while moving your pc mouse. The other one gave us a large mug, which comes handy for coffee and bread breaks wherein you dip bread pieces in a hot coffee, yummy. (",)

Unfortunately just after a few days, I went back to the same store in Glorietta only to find out that they only have 2 pieces left. I need about 19 pieces. Good thing Mike stayed over and yesterday morning he thought of calling Papemel' branches to check where there could still be products available. We found our luck, only one store out of about 5 still have enough. After taking our lunch, we checked out SM centerpoint, and there I bought enough. Though the sales lady said they do not print names on them. I was surprised, and I said the one in Glorietta said they personalise their calendar and print names for free. Then they said they don't know how to. I was upset. Then we went to Glorietta, supposedly only to look for Mike's gift for his officemate at Starbucks, 'cause unbelievably there's no Starbucks at SM Centerpoint. Good thing was, I decided to check out Papemel' at Glorietta because I forgot to include Cars who is a team mate of mine who just got married and she is currently on leave. Sadly, they have nothing left but a calendar poster. I just decided to buy one for her when she gets back in January. And unexpectedly, the store agreed to personalise and print names on my 'lil gifts even if we didn't buy it from them. It's really nice to know that there are still those that really provide excelent customer service, and the lady who assisted us was friendly and accomodating. She should get promoted at once. Hehehe... (",) After 30 minutes, after checking some stores in a very crowded mall, we claimed the items and had our early dinner at KFC.

When we got home, we noticed that it would be so plain putting the items on the ussual Papemel' paper bag. I remembered that we still have some "bayong" bags left over from our advertising project, and with spare paper twines with Mike's help we manage to make quite impressive packaging for my 'lil gifts. I'm satisfied with the result. (",)

I'd like to end today's blog with this quote by
Kahlil Gibran: "Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need."

Have a happy holidays everyone!

Team Building in Tagaytay / My new phone!

As promised, here are some pictures taken during our team building in Tagaytay. Last Friday, we headed to the south to get some fresh air and to recondition ourselves from a stressful week. And yeah, we really had a week-off full of fun. (",) Though we didn't spend much time 'coz we went home at about 2pm the next day.

Some more Team building pics...

It was Saturday, the day I won't forget! Because that was the day I got my precious phone! (",) hehehe... my P910i! It's really cool to have one. I highly recommend that phone 'coz you could do a lot of things as well as creating and opening MS-word and MS-Excel and powerpoint as well. Plus it's got a cool cam and bigger screen compared to my previous P800 phone. Later that day, Mike and I went to Powerplant (though it's raining really hard) to try some mp3 downloads, I bought 3 songs for 50 pesos each (about $1.00). Sony Ericsson showed its prowess when it comes to sound quality, I really am more than satisfied with that. Then we had some burgers and onion rings at Brother's, yum yum... a burger (big brother burger) is enough to get you bloated, if yer not in a super starving state you could even share one piece w/ a friend or two.

After that we went ahead to G3 to buy some charms for my new phone... hehehe (",) I told ya'll, I really made plans for my phone way ahead... (",) I bought this cool silver crown with blue accent, and a "B" pendant at Jo's (it's this totally awasome botique in G3 selling charms) it really goes well with p910i's color. I love that store, though I must admit cool stuff's aren't always cheap. And now, my phone's all made up, hehehe... (",)

Tagaytay!

I'm currently spending my weekend in Tagaytay right now with my team from Sykes. We really are enjoying our stay to wind up from 4 days of taking calls. You read it right, 4 days 'coz they've just changed our sched and instead of goin' to work for 9hours in 5 days, we are only required to go to work 4 days in a week but it would be for 11hours instead. It's better in a way 'coz we'll have more time to rest during the weekend. We'll be goin' home tomorrow or should I say later 'coz it's past five in the morning already. 'ope we could still roam around later and buy some pasalubong. The place we're stayin' at is cozy - though I must admit that the place is kinda creepy. Yeah, and they say that there are ghost around here... woohoo... O'well I'll be loading some pix soon, and tell you guys more 'bout our team building. Ciao!

I'm back!

Whew! Been a long time since I've last set foot on my blog. Haha, and now I'm back! (",) I am so happy with how my life's going right now and I would like to thank God for all those blessings He's given me. First, I already have a job. Yup. My first job ever, which is not what I expected I would end up with; though, I find it more rewarding since that I was able to survive and even get commended with incentives.. hehe... (",)

Sometimes though, I've been thinking about just putting up my own small biz. Hmmm, but I dunno yet what kind of--- but that's what I think of doing right now, after I quit my work. It's not that I'm not happy with my company right now, it's just that I'd like to follow where my thought is leading me - or rather my heart is leading me. Like what Mike use to tell me, that I'm good in handling money... am I? (",) haha... Kiddin' aside, yeah, I'm more of a boss rather than an employee. Somebody's brow might be raisin' right now... whoah! (",)

I'm excited about my P910i... been like ages... (",) I actually have plans already 'bowt my soon to be phone , gonna transfer all my pic files and buy a couple of cool charms Mike and I saw at g3.

O'well I think my next update would be when I have my p9 already... (",) Oh, and might also load some pix with my office mates... (",)

sHoUtOuTs tew: Louise ~~ Anne ~~ Sai ~~ Jay ~~ Nancy ~~ and all of my cool friends @ sykes... ciao! ("o)
